Are all of your products gluten-free?
YES! Everything we bake is created with gluten-free ingredients and prepared in a gluten-free kitchen.
Are any of your products grain-free?
YES! Please see the Paleo tab in our online store for lots of grain-free options.
Are any of your products sugar-free?
Some of our products are “no sugar added," made with only natural whole fruit for sweetness. We will bake sugar-free treats upon request. When baking sugar-free, we use organic stevia & xylitol (sourced from birch). If you need sugar-free, please send us a note with your request. If we feel we can successfully adapt our product, we will be happy to do so for an additional charge.
Are any of your products dairy-free?
While not all, many of our products are dairy-free; many are also vegan. These foods are specifically listed as such in our online shop (check the product descriptions for more details).
What flour do you use?
We use a variety of gluten-free flours in our baked goods. We think it is of the utmost importance to inform you of what you are purchasing and eating. Eating food prepared outside of your own kitchen when you have food sensitivities can be a mine field. We are happy to & view it as a necessary obligation to provide you with a full ingredient listing for our products.
Many of our paleo options are created with nut flours or coconut flour. For some of our products we use millet, sorghum, teff, tapioca starch, arrowroot, or potato starch. When you see "gluten-free flour mix" as part of our ingredients list, this is Better Batter's Gluten-Free All Purpose Flour Mix. We find their flour gives the most consistent quality in our finished products. It is also important to us that their flour has NO GMO ingredients, that the xanthan gum they use is corn-free, and that their facility is free of the top 8 food allergens. We cannot say enough good about this company and all that they do for our gluten-free community. Where can I buy your foods?
Because we do not yet have a storefront, we conduct the majority of our business through our online store. You can also purchase some of our products from certain local businesses that we supply (click here to find out more).
What are your options for pick-up, delivery, and shipping?
Order pick-ups or delivery will be arranged free of charge for locations within Cedar Point and Cape Carteret, NC. We also offer delivery options to locations as far as 20 miles away from Cedar Point (click here for delivery information and pricing). Beginning February 20, 2017, we will offer nationwide shipping on a selection of our products (click here for shipping information and pricing).
Do you make wedding cakes?
At this time, we are not equipped to create tiered or heavily-decorated cakes.

How do I know that what I am eating is safe?
As a dedicated gluten-free bakery, we take food safety very seriously. Many of our customers have allergies to gluten, grain, dairy, corn, or soy. Therefore, it is imperative that we do all we can to ensure the safety of our foods and the cleanliness of our operations.
First, we operate out of a North Carolina state-certified home kitchen, which is inspected and approved by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Second, a ServSafe® certified member of the Beach Town Bakery team helps to oversee the storage, preparation, cooking, and packaging of our foods. Third, we source our ingredients from vendors we trust—especially local vendors, when possible. Fourth, we thoroughly clean all food-contact surfaces and utensils to prevent cross-contamination, the spread of bacteria from one object to another. Fifth and finally, we practice good hygiene and regular hand-washing in and out of the kitchen. This may be the simplest step we take, but it is also one of the most important.
